The Futuresmiths reveal themselves to be agents of Brainiac 12. Superman defeats Brainiac by hurling him into an instant of negative time, but then collapses into the time stream while attempting to return home.
Action 811	Abnett, Lanning	Kerschl	Kerschl	“Strange New Visitor” Part I. A time storm, the result of the Futuresmiths’ defeat, rages over Metropolis. Superman is nowhere to be found, but his inspiration is felt everywhere. John Henry Irons, Steel, Superboy, and the Eradicator attempt to stop the time storm. Mr Majestic arrives in Metropolis.
AOS 624	Abnett, Lanning	Kerschl	Kerschl	“Strange New Visitor” Part II. Mr Majestic offers to help John Henry Irons find a way to defeat the time storm raging over Metropolis, but the Eradicator doesn’t trust him. Majestic is trapped in the Phantom Zone while Superboy, the Eradicator, and Steel attempt to stop the storm.
Superman 201	Abnett, Lanning	Kerschl	Kerschl	“Strange New Visitor” Part III. Lois Lane releases Mr Majestic from the time storm, and he flies to stop Superboy, the Eradicator, and Steel from making the time storm worse. The effects of the storm eventually pass, removing much of the B13 virus from Metropolis and allowing Majestic to return to his own dimension.
Action 812	Kelly, Turner, Austen	Caldwell, Reis	Gorder, Campos	“Godfall” Part I. Kal-El of Krypton, his wife Lyla, and their son Kon-Lar, find their lives disrupted when Kal-El is attacked by an underground resistance force and discovers he has powers and abilities far beyond those of his fellow Kryptonians. Lana Lang reveals that she is moving to Metropolis, and that Pete Ross is suing her for custody of their baby.
AOS 625	Kelly, Turner, Rucka	Caldwell, Clark	Gorder, Nelson	“Godfall” Part II. After being rescued by Preus of the Kryptonian Citizen’s Patrol Corps, Kal-El uses his newfound powers to strike back at the guerillas who attacked him, inadvertently killing his son Kon-Lar in the process. The new head of the Special Crimes Unit, Lt. Lupe Teresa Leocadio, foils a bank robbery single-handed.
Superman 202	Kelly, Turner, Azarello	Caldwell, Bermejo	Gorder, Bermejo	“Godfall” Part III. Preus vows to avenge the death of Kon-Lar and put an end to lawlessness. Lyla helps Kal-El hide in the underground, then uses magic to steal his power. The truth is revealed—Superman is in Kandor, and Lyla’s magic had him confused. Lyla escapes from Kandor and prepares to visit Metropolis, where Superman is still missed. A Mr. Orr informs Lex Luthor that he has rescued Dr. Federov, whom Luthor wants to perform an experiment.
Action 813	Kelly, Turner, Austen	Caldwell, Reis	Gorder, Campos	“Godfall” Part IV. Kal-El, reeling from the shock of his revelation, joins forces with the resistance movement as Preus arrives to arrest them all. Kal-El explains who he is and where he comes from. He and members of the resistance escape Kandor and head for Metropolis. Lyla makes her presence known in Metropolis, bent on taking everything that was Superman’s. Young William, whom Superman rescued when Imperiex attacked Kansas, discovers his parents are dead and receives a strange midnight visitor.

Preus emerges from Kandor, swearing to kill Superman for destroying his perfect life. Lois Lane worries for her husband’s safety as life goes on around her.
Superman 203	Kelly, Turner	Caldwell	Gorder	“Godfall” Part VI. Superman battles Preus, who discovers he has powers and abilities far beyond those of Superman. Lyla sacrifices herself to defeat Preus. Life returns to normal for Clark and Lois, but has Preus truly been defeated?
Superman 204	Azzarello	Lee	Williams	“For Tomorrow” Part I. Superman meets with a priest, Father Daniel Leone, one year after the Vanishing, the mysterious disappearance of a million people—including Lois Lane.
Superman 205	Azzarello	Lee	Williams	“For Tomorrow” Part II. Superman tells Father Leone of his initial investigation into the Vanishing. He describes how he traced the origin to the Middle East, and stopped a riot which had broken out in that area.

He describes how civil war broke out following his actions, and tells of meeting General Nox and the mysterious Equus. Superman 209	Azzarello	Lee	Williams	“For Tomorrow” Part VI. Superman battles the elemental monsters, creatures of magic called by a mysterious woman. Superman defeats the monsters, and their creator is comforted by Wonder Woman.
Superman 210	Azzarello	Lee	Williams	“For Tomorrow” Part VII. Father Leone approches Mr Orr about his offer. Orr also contacts Wonder Woman and the mysterious shaman Halcyon, looking to strike a deal. Superman speaks with Batman, and takes Father Leone to his Fortress of Solitude.

AOS 630	Rucka	Clark	Nelson	“Battery” Part IV. Superman meets the mysterious Ruin, Xlim’s master. Their battle is interrupted by Mr Mxyzptlk, who gives Superman a strange warning.
AOS 631	Rucka	Clark, Guedes	Nelson	“Battery” Part V. Superman captures Ruin and Xlim for the SCU. In Umec, Lois Lane is shot, and Superman is immediately by her side.
